Is 2.0 a movie for non-Rajini fans too? - a review

The much-awaited magnum opus of the Indian cinema has now turned into a proudest movie of the year. A big applause to the captain of the ship Director Shankar and his larger than life vision. At the same time, he earns credits for not just wrapping up 2.0 as only a visual magic instead has dealt a strong and contemporary message.

Equal appreciation is deserved by the cast and crew for sculpting out the dream of Shankar into a beautiful reality. Asia’s heavily budgeted movie of around 600 crores is generously poured by the producer Subashkaran. Nirav Shah’s eye stealing cinematography in 3d combined with the perfect editing by Antony has spelled its magic on screen.

Super star’s sizzling performance:
Rajinikanth, the Thalaiva comes in four avatars as the matrix brained scientist Vaseegaran, sweet and obedient Chitti, attitude-filled wild 2.0 and last but not the least, Kutty the cute and smart microbot - 3.0, as a surprise package. Rajini has rocked all the four versions in his own style and swag, proving himself to be the best entertainer of the Indian cinema, covering every section of the crowd from 6-60. As he utters, he is the only one, the super one. Superstar for a reason.

Super actor’s brilliant performance:
Akshay Kumar fondly called as Akki by his fans has started his career as a handsome khilaadi type hero has traveled a rising graph reaching movies like Padman, Gold etc thus gaining respect for his social concern in his films. 2.0 is one more diamond in his winning crown. He has delivered mindblowing performance both in VFX shots and normal shots without any fluctuations proving his versatility.

A.R.Rahman musical:
2.0 is a sci-fi thriller without songs in the main part of the movie, the music director plays the role as another hero of the movie behind the screen. Still, his efforts are felt on screen without which the movie cannot mesmerize people. Rahman shooks the audience’s heart beats especially in CG shots of the evil bird and robot action sequences which makes us travel along with the characters virtually. The music mania is retained in our hearts even after stepping out of the screen.

Core message - the real hero:
The movie popularised as a complete 3d visual with 4d sound technology has stricken strongly with a much-needed message of the hour, exceeding the normal expectations of just it to be a visual feast. The tagline “World is not only for humans” is well-delivered teaching us about how to distinguish and view the actual problem we are undergoing and a perfect solution that has to be followed. Still, after engaging us with so many glitter shots, the movie does not fail to create a deep impact about its central point. That's where the movie succeeds. The movie has dealt with many happening concepts of Fifth force, Aura, radiation effects etc which every human should know for a harmonious life in nature.

Worldwide audience response:
Audience from every part of the country and worldwide has received the movie very well and celebrating for its visual grandeur. Fans review it to be the best of Indian cinemas never before and never after type flick. While Rajinikanth fans are in happy tears on the magnificent screen presence of their Thalaivar, neutral audience are happy that the vacuum for Indian superhero is finally filled. Theatre owners and distributors are in cloud nine on the success of the movie while cine critics are going gaga over the excellence of the movie.

Increased shows in Pakistan, Australia, Malaysia, and the U.S shows that the movie has gained a warm welcome in every nuke and corner. The movie is creating history in collections too worldwide. New benchmarks are easily set which is really healthy for the industry. Truly, 2.0 is the pride of Indian cinema. We have grown up wondering about super-mans and spider-mans of Hollywood and now it is the time the world to turn around towards Indian cinema because of its originality with an Indian flavor. To enjoy in fullest, do watch in theatres with 3d projection and 4d srl sound. Don’t forget to take your kids, the reason you will know on the big screen.
