Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. It is an autonomous body that is mainly engaged in conducting competitive exams for recruiting to various posts in the SSC departments. SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) is an examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruit staff to various posts in Group –B,C &D categories in various posts in ministries, departments and organizations of the Government of India. SSC CGL is generally based on Tier – I, II, III & IV.
SSC CGL Tier I 2018 is conducted on July 25 – August 20, 2018. This examination is fully based on online mode only. The Tier I exam consists of objective multiple choice questions with four sections carrying of 100 questions with maximum of 200 marks. The duration of the examination is 60 minutes only. (For visually handicapped candidates the time duration is 80 minutes). Negative marking is applicable of 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer attempted.

HOW TO GET SUCCEED IN EXAMINATION?
This exam can consists of problem oriented i.e.,Maths in two parts General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude contains 50 questions. We can take maximum of 35-40 minutes for these two sections. But due to time consumption we need to solve this two parts within 30-35 minutes. If we do this we can spend more time on English Comprehension section because this section can contains big paragraph. Based on the paragraph they can ask 3-5 questions. So we spend 10-15 minutes for this section. Finally we have remaining 10-15 minutes for General Awareness section.

These two sections English Comprehension & General Awareness is very important for us to secure more marks. So we concentrate more on these two sections carefully. For to get clear Tier I level we must secure at least 80 questions correctly.
TIPS TO FOLLOW DURING EXAMINATION:
- Don’t spend much time on 1 question. We should spend maximum of 1 minute for difficult questions.
- Follow the Time management during exam hours.
- Don’t get panic on any circumstances. If we get panic means it leads to tension. This can cause we can answer known question to wrong answer. This can reduce our choice of selection during examination.
- Face the Examination with more Confidence.
- Practice more for to get succeed in this exam. Due to less time duration our practice will leads to success.
